Healthwatch wrote about the importance of Enabling Town Slough Peer Mentors
4th October 2017
During one of Healthwatch’s visits to Prospect Park Hospital, they noted the impact that Enabling Town Slough Peer Mentors were having on the wards at the hospital.
“We heard about the ASSiST/EMBRACE initiative, where former inpatients living in Slough are trained as peer mentors to go onto Prospect Park wards. They visit small groups of inpatients to discuss hope, recovery and living with mental health needs once they leave hospital, and the type of on-going practical and peer support they can access in the community.”
