EMBRACE: Co-production of mental health posters in GP Surgeries

EMBRACE members co-produced posters to be displayed in their GP surgeries to promote mental health.

An EMBRACE group member noticed whilst waiting in her GP surgery, that there was no information on any of the notice boards relating to mental health. She spoke with her GP about this, who asked for her and an EMBRACE clinician to do a training session on mental health for the surgery’s staff. During that training session, everyone agreed that mental health should have more prominent exposure in the surgery.

The EMBRACE group member shared this discovery within the EMBRACE community, and they agreed to get together to design some posters on mental health which could be put up in the GP surgery. The finished posters were then put up not only in that surgery, but other group members took them to be distributed in their own GP surgeries.
